Communication is vital in promoting order and peace. It requires a certain language that will link the involved parties to effectively carry out the message each one intends to tell the other. However not all language is spoken. Signs and symbols can as well be used as means for communication like in the case of sign languages or road and traffic signs Traffic symbols are of vital importance in driving especially if the driver is unfamiliar with the location. Driving also requires a certain type of communication to promote order, peace and safety in any road or highway. The car’s lights are one of the most effective means of communication not just among drivers, car owners and passengers but also with the people crossing the streets or just passing by.
The Driver
The driver can use his hands to warn other drivers if he will be changing lanes or directions but it is not as effective as turning on the turn signal lights or any of the auto lights. In fact it can even cause accidents since the hands must be used primarily on the steering wheel to control the movement or direction the driver intends. Driving does not only involved the use of hands, legs and eyes. It also involves the heart for compassion and concern for others. Almost half of the daily accidents that happen in any road or highways are linked with the car’s lights as shown by surveys conducted not just in United States but in other countries and locations as well.
Unfortunately, not all drivers are aware of the importance of the car’s lighting components specially the clear corner or signal turn lights. Thus they just go on driving without using it which means that they are putting at the brink of danger not just their own life but of their passengers and the people around which can inadvertently get caught in an accident or worse, death.
Clear corner light is used to communicate with pedestrians and other drivers in case the vehicle has to change lanes or turns. It is also used to warn others of the car’s presence especially at night and other low visibility conditions. It’s true the vehicle can still go on in its usual speed and optimum performance even without the lights but take note that life is precious and thus it is our duty to protect ours and that of our fellows.
